What to wear for a corporate shoot?

Attire Guidelines

Looking your best for your corporate photoshoot might not be a daunting task with our preparation guide below.

Colour choices - For darker backgrounds, go for deeper, richer colours (Blacks, Navy, Maroon, Olive etc) For lighter backgrounds, go for cleaner / neutral colours (Pastals, Earth-tones, white etc.)

Avoid white - Avoid white shirts unless worn within an outer coat as they tend to reflect a lot of light and shift attention from your face.

Add depth - Consider fashion accessories like scarves, jackets, cardigans to add texture and layers into our usual “single-layered” attire style in sunny Singapore. If you like simplicity, turtleneck attires in darker shades are great for portraits to make your portrait stand out!

Avoid thin patterns - Avoid thinly stripped patterns, especially vertical lines as they sometimes interfere with post-production.

Avoid dangling earrings - Avoid accessories and earrings especially dangling ones that might interfere with post-production. It’s much better to bring focus to the face unless the item is symbolic or a distinct part of your style.

Match those pants! - For Men, do consider matching pants when wearing suits as we frequently photograph up till your mid thighs. A variety of ties will be wonderful as well!

Other preparation information

Useful personal items - It’s a good idea to bring a personal hairbrush or comb just to neaten things up a little when it’s needed. Along with all that, we will recommend clients to bring along eyedrops if they wear prescription contacts.

Adequate Rest - While not always feasible, this is the number one recommendation we have for guests. The difference is not merely physical but also a well rested subject is psychologically, usually a much more relaxed subject!

Water (Not coffee!) - It’s good advice is always to drink plain water the night before - just to make sure your skin is well hydrated. And even if you’re not here for a lifestyle or beauty shoot, there’s no reason why adding a few glasses of water the night before won’t do you some extra good. Oh, and it’s water.. Not coffee!

Hair & Face - When coming in for styling, it’s a good idea not to condition your hair the night or morning before. Hair conditioning causes your hair to be overly smooth for good hair-styling work. If a makeup artist is commissioned, it’s often great to come with a cleanly washed face from the morning so that we can get started once you arrive.

Meals - Avoid eating too much but definitely come with something in your tummy. This is to prevent bloating straight after a meal which might physically affect your waistline resulting in less flattering photographs.
